Psychiatrist – Inpatient Unit Chief – Adult Services
Holliswood Hospital is a 125 bed acute care private psychiatric facility located in residential Queens, New York. A great opportunity exists for a Board Certified/Eligible psychiatrist, licensed in NYS to join our team of excellence. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care and leadership to an interdisciplinary treatment team.

We offer an attractive compensation package and the opportunity to develop a private practice.

 

Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry – Full-Time
Associate Unit Chief for Child Services
The Associate Unit Chief will have a physician collaborative agreement and will be working with our interdisciplinary team.
- You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Child Unit and its medical/psychiatric program.
- Provide daily individual psychotherapy/pharmacotherapy management including medical/psychiatric management.
- Ensure every patient is adequately assessed and receives an integrated comprehensive individual treatment plan as per written policies and procedures.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License
Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry License
Psychiatric nursing experience with demonstrated physical assessment skills.
Minimum 3-5 years NPP experience.

 

Mental Health Workers (FT/PT/PD)
Opportunities exist on day, evening and overnight shifts. An AAS and prior experience working with a psychiatric patient population in a hospital setting is required. You will be involved in direct patient care where strong verbal communication skills will be an essential component of your role as part of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

 

Social Worker – Full Time – 2 Positions Available
Adult Services – Military Wellness Program

This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic self starter to join our team of diverse clinicians and work in a specialized, clinically-driven, trauma-informed program designed to treat active duty military personnel, veterans and family members as they struggle with complicated issues related to depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder and substance misuse.

You will provide comprehensive social work services including assessments, individual, group, and family treatment plan coordination, referent relations and intervention with client support system.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Master of Social Work (MSW)
NYS License
Prior experience working individuals who have experienced developmental trauma/posttraumatic stress
Excellent verbal/written communication, clinical & customer service skills
Knowledge & training in advanced clinical techniques strongly desired

 

Utilization Review Coordinator – Full Time
Responsible for ensuring the appropriate use of hospital services by conducting medical record reviews consistent with pre-established criteria. Monitors appeal status from admission to final resolution of the appeal. Has direct communication with managed care organizations relating to ongoing utilization review.

Participates in treatment team, obtaining the team’s consensus as to the length of stay and medical necessity for justification of inpatient level of hospitalization. Notifies appropriate personnel of team decisions.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
BA/BS in a health related field
Minimum three (3) years experience in case management, utilization management or mental health
Excellent computer skills, able to compute, draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to read and interpret documents and to write routine reports
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
